Summer Feet!

I always make sure I take full advantage of sandal season! I have made my very own pedicure.

RELAX - To make it real me time, I put on some tunes and turn off my cell. Then I fill the tub with warm water and 3/4 cup of lavender-scented Epsom salts and soak my feet for 15 minutes to soften calluses, relax muscles and reduce swelling. My tortured feet thanked me for it!

PREP - With a toenail clipper, I cut a straight edge across - round can lead to ingrowns, - use an orange stick to push back cuticles. I buff away dry skin at the soles with the coarse side of a buffer and use the fine side everywhere else, especially the cracked heel area. Next, I exfoliate with a sugar scrub and moisturizing with a super hydrating foot cream.

POLISH - To help polish adhere better, use remover to dehydrate toenails. Whether applying the base coat, color or topcoat, the key to a smooth application is to use slow, steady brushstrokes. Always start at the center, as close to the cuticle as possible, then move outward.

ENJOY - To clean up stray polish, use an orange stick wrapped in cotton and soaked in remover. As a finishing touch, spray fragrance on feet. I use L'Occitane The Vert & Bigarade for it's invigorating green tea scent. Let me tell you, I walk away with very HAPPY FEET! =)

A sweet treat for your feet.

Exfoliating is important for removing dead cells that dull the appearance of skin, plus, it feels great!

Here's how to make a scrub in your kitchen.

1. Gather 1/2 cup brown sugar, juice of 1 large lime and 1/3 cup honey.
2. Mix ingredients together in a bowl.
3. Apply to feet, ankles and calves in a circular motion.
4. Rinse off and apply a foot cream.
